BIO

Deborah Ann Conlan, SCRP, GMS
Principal, SYNAXIS

Ms. Conlan has been active in the U.S. domestic and international employee mobility arenas for many years. Her expertise ranges from global human resource policy development and logistical issues to best practice program management.

Ms. Conlan is a founding Principal of SYNAXIS, an independent management consulting firm providing services for corporate and federal employers as well as service suppliers. For 12 years SYNAXIS has provided guidance in evaluation, selection and development of business partnerships and organizational capability related to employee mobility, and expertise in federal relocation market entry and successful associated program management.

Debb spent 20 years with PHH (now Cartus) serving as Vice President, International Services, responsible for the development and delivery of their international assignment service programs. While at PHH, she earned their Exemplar Award for Excellence.

Debb holds the Senior Certified Relocation Professional (SCRP) and Global Mobility Specialist (GMS) designations awarded by Worldwide ERC. She is the recipient of ERC’s Meritorious and Distinguished Service awards. Additionally, she has been honored with Mobility Magazine's Editorial Achievement Award, and has been recognized by Worldwide ERC with three President's Awards for her contributions to the development of international symposium conferences and distinguished service in promoting and implementing the principles of the Worldwide ERC association.

Ms. Conlan is a faculty member of the highly successful Global Mobility Specialist program, was a contributing author to Worldwide ERC's Guide for Managing the Mobile Workforce and acted as the Chairman of Worldwide ERC’s International Initiatives Advisory Council. In addition she has served as a member of Worldwide ERC’s Industry Advisory Council, 2005’s Global Workforce Symposium Planning Committee and is a retired a member of Worldwide ERC’s Board of Directors. Debb is currently a member of Worldwide ERC’s Global Advisory Council.

She is a frequent speaker at conferences throughout North America and has published numerous articles on the subject of corporate human resource issues related to mobility. Ms. Conlan has been quoted in publications such as Fortune, The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal.
